HolyMake

HolyMake is an independent product studio in Warsaw that designs, builds, and runs its own consumer mobile apps.

What we do

We are not an agency and we do not take on client work. Everything we make, we own. We choose the problem, fund the work, publish the app under our own name, and stay with it for years.

That changes how the work gets done. There is no brief to interpret and no handover at the end — only the product and the people using it. If something is wrong, it is ours to fix, this week.

Product

Deciding what to build and, more often, what to leave out. We look for ordinary problems that people already solve by hand, badly, every day.

Design

Interface, motion, and words. We treat copy as part of the design, and we care about the small states — empty, loading, offline, wrong — because that is where an app either feels finished or does not.

Engineering

Apps for iOS and Android, and the backends, data, and payment plumbing behind them. We keep codebases small enough to hold in one head.

Growth & operations

Store listings, pricing, lifecycle email, subscriptions, and support. Launching is one day; operating an app well is the rest of the years.

How we work

The team is small on purpose. A small team has short feedback loops and no internal politics to route around — a decision gets made in an afternoon rather than a quarter, and the person who made it is also the person who ships it.

We work in a weekly rhythm. Something goes out most weeks: a fix, a new screen, a better first run. Long silent projects drift away from the people they were meant for, so we prefer many small corrections to one large bet.

We measure what happens, and we read what people write to us. Numbers tell us where users stop; their messages tell us why. Neither is much use alone, and we treat a low rating as information rather than an insult.

We build products that pay for themselves. Revenue from the last release funds the next one. That keeps us honest about what is worth building, and it means we can keep an app alive for as long as people rely on it.

Who is behind it

HolyMake was founded by Illia Leletko, who builds consumer software end to end — product, design, engineering, and growth. He tends to stay on the same problem far longer than is fashionable. If you write to the studio, he is usually the one who replies.

If you are working on something adjacent, we would like to hear about it.
